Enslaved Persons Named: Ishmeal, Prince, Sary, Luby
On March 1, 1855, Henry Way, of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note for $1213.43 to Joseph R. Bacon “the following negro slaves to wit Ishmeal [alt: Ishmael], Prince, Sary and Lucy together with the future issue and increase of the females.” Witnessed by N.J. Varnedoe, L.L. Varnadoe, S.M. Varnadoe, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on May 24, 1855, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
