On September 20, 1832 [or 1837], in Bulloch County, John Burnside, Bulloch County, sold to George Shuman, Bryan County, for $425 “one negro woman named Rebecca about thirty five years of age, and her child named Riner [alt: Rina, Rhina], about eight months old.” Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on August 4, 1838.
