State of Georgia, Liberty County } To the Honorable the Court of Ordinary for said County
The petition of Lafayette DeLegal colored of Liberty County respectfully sheweth that he desires to avail himself of the benefit of an act of the Legislature of Georgia entitled “an act to provide for setting apart a Homestead of realty and personalty etc” so as to secure to himself and family (he being the head of a family) the small amount of personal proeprty owned by him. The annexed schedule of personal property is all that is owned by the said Petitioner and he desires the said Honorable Court to appoint a day as assigned by law to pass upon the same, so that it may be secured to himself and family under the laws of this State and Petitioner will ever pray.
