On February 26, 1828, John Bacon, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $868 to Uriah Wilcox, same place, “a female slave named Bella, & her two children, named Abram & Phillis, a male slave named Billy, another named Bob, a female slave named Teresa, & two male slaves named Sam & Sampson, together with the future issue & increase of the females.” Witnessed by Rodney Pease. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 28, 1828. [NOTE: This deed was marked as satisfied by U. Wilcox. Satisfaction recorded on May 25, 1835.]
