On July 21, 1845, Elias Perry, Bryan County, used as collateral on a promissory note to Dr. Charles W. Rogers, Bryan County, for $200 “for value received” “two negro slaves named Levina and her brother, Washington.” Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on August 11, 1845.
