On March 18, 1845, Odingsell W. Hart, planter, Bryan County, used as collateral on a promissory note to A. Porter, Chatham County, for $$2000 “certain negro slaves, named Patience, Adam, Peggy, Maria, Edmond, Dianna, Ginny, Rinah, Hagar, Israel, Grace, Billy, Little Rinah, Tom, Sunday, fifteen in number.” Witnessed by S.B. Williams. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on May 14, 1845.
