Bryan County Marriage Contract (Butler/Linder)

On March 6, 1845, in Bryan County, Georgia, William Butler and Sophia A. Linder, a widow, entered into a marriage contract, with Jesse E. Ham and Nicholas J. Clark as her trustees. They put into a trust for her all the property she was bringing into the marriage or would ever possess afterward, to remain free from any debts of her intended husband. Witnessed by Richard Clark. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on March 13, 1845.
