On November 23, 1844, John Harn, Bryan County, used as collateral on a promissory note to Robert Habersham, Savannah, for $922.50 “the following four negro slaves, viz, Ben abt. twenty four years, Delia abt. twenty two years of age, Rinah over forty years of age & Barthshire about five or six years of age.” Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on January 20, 1845.
