On April 15, 1842, James Shuman, Bryan County, sold to Jesse Futch, Bryan County, for $400 a certain negro girl slave, named Linda thirteen years of age.” Witnessed by Eli Futch. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on June 2, 1842.
