On April 16, 1840, James O. Screven, Bryan County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $4000 to Ralph King & William King, copartners under the name R&W King of Savannah, “the following slaves named Cyrus sen., Juno, Adam, Jack, Harry, Ann, Sophy sen., Hagar, Martha, Elvira, Louisa, Jane, Kit, Harriet, Israel.” [NOTE: “sen” here is probably used as “Big”].

Marked as satisfied in full in Savannah as of June 19, 1840.
