On March 23, 1839, Henry Harden, planter of Bryan County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $214.27 to Richard J. Arnold “one young negro man by the name of Anthony.” Witnessed by J.U. Sanford. Henry Harden probated this record on March 25, 1839. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on April 3, 1839.
