Enslaved People Named: Mary, Clarissa, Lucy
On April 3, 1832, Edward Footman, Bryan County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $800 “for value received” to Robert Habersham, merchant of Savannah, “all the following named negro slaves to wit Mary, Clarissa, Lucy and her child, in number four.” Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on April 30, 1832.
