On August 25, 1828, Nthaniel Bacon, Bryan County, sold to Peter Strickland, also of Bryan County, for $330 “a certain negroe girl slave named Jane.” Witnessed by N.T. ?Stanaland?, David Strickland. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on May 11, 1829.
