Personal Property of Marlborough Jones (1872)

State of Georgia, Liberty County } To the Ordinary of Said County
The petition of Marlborough Jones sheweth that he is the head of a family, and in behalf of said family file files this his petition for an exemption of personalty under the laws of Georgia to be exempted from levy and sale and files the annexed schedule. Said property now in possession of petitioner in said county, being the crop raised by petitioner the present year 1872 in the place of J. LeConte called Syphax.

State of Georgia, Liberty County } The following is a correct account of the personal property of Marlborough Jones, p.c., the head of a family, filed in the Ordinary’s office of said County by Ben Howard, p.c., agent for said Jones, this 4th day of October 1872, for exemption under the Homestead laws of this state, to wit:
Two hundred bus[hel] Corn @ 1.00 per bus 200.00
Fifty bus rice @ 1.00 per bus 50.00
Eight hundred lbs seed short cotton @04 pr lb 32.00
One hundred bus potatoes @ .50 pr bu 50.00
Sugar cane & syrup from same @ 10.00
Household & kitchen furniture val. at 50.00
Poultry of all kinds val. at 50.00
One ox val. at 30.00
