Guardianship (Livius, Hetty)

On June 24, 1816, Nathaniel Law and Benjamin Mell Senior, Liberty County, bonded themselves to the Judges of the Court of Ordinary for $1000 to act as guardians to “Livius and Hetty, two minor persons of color, under the age of fourteen years.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 22, 1821.
