On May 28, 1821, Benjamin Mell Senior sold to Paul H. Wilkins, via an order on R. & J. Habersham for $2250 “the following negroes, formerly the property of Capt. Andrew Fraser; viz. Bella, about forty five years of age, Caesar, thirty-eight; Tom, twenty; Becky, twenty-two; Dye, sixteen, & Titus, about seven years of age. Witnessed by William Iverson, Paul H. Wilkins Junior. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on September 10, 1821.
