On May 13, 1820, Moses Way, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $455.43 to Uriah Wilcox, same place, “the three following slaves viz two male slaves named Tom & Monday, & one female slave named Nelly.” Witnessed by Benjamin Mell Junior, Benjamin Harris. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 1, 1820.
