Enslaved People Named: March, Betty
On February 20, 1809, Robert Sallens gifted to his wife “the following named property: two negroes, March & Betty, and two tracts of land adjoining each other, on or near Canouchie River; all of which property I do give to my beloved wife, Ann Sallens.” Witnessed by Samuel King, Will’m [William] Dunham. Samuel King probated this deed on May 15, 1820. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 15, 1820.
