Enslaved People Named: Jim

On December 6, 1809, Margaret Irvine, spinster of Sunbury in Liberty County, gifted to Adam Alexander, also of Sunbury, “a mulatto boy slave named Jim” to be held in trust for Mrs. Elizabeth Bayley, wife of Thomas Bayley.”  Witnessed by John Dunwody, Alexander Irvine. Probated by John Dunwody on April 7, 1818, and recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 18, 1818.
