On August 4, 1815, Peter Farley Winn, planter of Liberty County, gifted to his wife Mary Fleming Winn, via her trustees, his friend William Fleming and his brother Thomas Sumner Winn, “the following fifteen negro slaves; namely, Sam, Abram, York, Diana, Cretia, Miley, Peggy, Dinah, Rose and her children Venus, Judy and Delilah, Rachel and her children Polydore and Ned.” Witnessed by Oliver Stevens, E. Baker. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on August 7, 1815.
