On March 26, 1816, John Coleman, Liberty County, sold to Audley Maxwell, also of Liberty County, for $1550 “the following negroes, known by the names of Ellick, Tom & Tenah, together with the future issue of the aforesaid female slave.” Witnessed by J. White N.P. for Chatham County. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 30, 1816.
