On April 4, 1810, Thomas Bacon Senior, used as collateral on a promissory note to Curtis Bolton & Co for $309.65 “a Negro man named Joe.” Witnessed by Thomas Bacon Junior. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 12, 1810.
