Enslaved People Named: Paro
On May 3, 1810, John Willson [alt: Wilson], Liberty County, gifted to “my friend James Carter Bowler and Elizabeth the wife of the said James and the issue of them” “one certain negro boy slave named Paro.” Paro was to be used for the benefit of Elizabeth Bowler and to be her property but was to be under the “care, direction and management” of James C. Bowler. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 17, 1810.
