Enslaved People Named: Adam, Polly, Dublin

On July 17, 1804, Charlton Hines, Liberty County, sold to William Way, same place, for $1000 “the following Negroes viz. Adam, Polly & Dublin.” Written at the bottom was: “Rec’d the day & year first within written of Wm. Way Sen’r the sum of one thousand dollars, it being in full for the purchase money within mentioned.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on July 4, 1809.
