Enslaved People Named: Davey, Cato

On April 3, 1807, James White, Liberty County, sold to Thomas Ard, same place, for $720 “two Negro fellows one named Davey [alt: Davy], the other named Cato, of the Angola Country, neigther of them exceeding twenty two years of age…” Witnessed by Curtis Langdon. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on August 28, 1807.
