Enslaved People Named: Chloe, Lucy, Silvey, Dick

On April 12, 1808, Chloe, Lucy, Silvey and Dick, formerly of the estate of Jacob Lewis of Liberty County, were sold to Elijah Lewis, the executor of the estate, for $300. Appended was a statement by Elijah Lewis authorizing Joseph Austin to sell the four people. Samuel Lewis signed the bill of sale. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 16, 1808.
