Enslaved People Named: Dianah

On December 12, 1807, John B. Gibbons, Liberty County, sold to William Johnston for $120 “a Negro Woman named Dianah…” Witnessed by Abraham Deloach, John Deloach. Probated by John Deloach on February 27, 1808. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 12, 1808. 

On March 24, 1808, William Johnston sold Dianah, calling her “a certain negro Girl named Dianna which said Negro was formerly the property of John B. Gibbons…” to James Augustus Tippins for $400. Witnessed by Joseph ? Glisson ? And Philip Tippins. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 12, 1808.
