Enslaved People Named: Beck, Fanny, Galbo, Sandy

On May 21, 1805, Lachlan McIntosh, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1317 to the firm of Messrs Foster & Stuart “the following Negro Slaves that is to say, Dick, Beck, Fanny, Galbo, Sandy and an infant son the child of Beck & Dick.” Witnessed by Simon Maxwell. 

On November 6, 1805, at Savannah, George Foster, surviving copartner in the firm named above, signed over his rights to the promissory note to Messrs Burrows & Sturges, agents for the house of Messrs Meyer, Gillespie & Titus, merchants of New York. WItnessed by Henry H. Mounger.
