On March 5, 1792, Andrew Walthour and Simon Fraser used as collateral on a promissory note of 164 pounds sterling to Peter Winn and William Baker, executors of the last will and testament of Samuel Saltus, “the following Negroes wench Betty and her child, by name Tom…” Witnessed by Stephen FIles, John Robarts. Marked as satisfied in full by Peter Winn, executor of S. Saltus. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 30, 1792.
