On August 2, 1791, David Delegal, planter of Liberty County, gifted to his nephew Philip Delegal, minor of the same place, “the following Negroe Slaves viz Venter, Brutus, Peter, Hannah, Cate a child” and three mares. Witnessed by Abigail Delegal, Daniel Tuttle, Wm. [William] Thos. [Thomas] Harris. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on October 3, 1791.
