On October 17, 1791, James Bradley, of New York City, sold to John McIver for 40 pounds “a Negroe Boy named Cato…who is about fifteen years of age.” Witnessed by John MacGrigor, Alex. McGregor, Alex. McIver. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 13, 1792.
