Marriage Contract (Munro/West)

On March 7, 1768, Simon Munro, merchant of St. John’s Parish in Georgia [now Liberty County], entered into a marriage covenant with Elizabeth West, of St. Andrew’s Parish, Province of Georgia. They agreed that  any property Elizabeth West brought into the marriage would be inherited by her heirs if she died after having had children. If she died childless, Munro was to inherit. No property was named or described. Witnessed by John ? Hawart ?, Andrew Darling, William Jones. Probated by John ? Hawart ? On November 24, 1775.
