Enslaved Persons Named: Creese
On May 6, 1775, Robert Carnibe Baillie, planter of St. John’s Parish in Georgia [now Liberty County], gifted to Elizabeth Darling “one Negro girl named Creese.” Witnessed by Eliz. [Elizabeth] Powell, Mary Lynn. On October 10, 1778, Mrs. Elizabeth Powell swore that she witnessed Robert Carnibe Baillie’s signature. Recorded on October 15, 1778.
