On March 29, 1830, Uriah Wilcox reported that three mortgages given him by Moses Way had been satisfied. The three mortgages were recorded Liberty County Superior Court as follows:

Deed Book H, pages 326-327, June 1, 1820.

Deed Book I, pages 100-101, June 17, 1824. “I release the above named negroes from the above mortgage. 16 March 1826” Signed by U. Wilcox. [NOTE: Moses Way and Uriah Wilcox had concluded two mortgages recorded on those pages on that day, naming the following enslaved people: Tom, Monday, Nelly, Moriah, Gashem, Cicero, Pharaoh, Rose, Kate, Betty, Clarinda]

Deed Book I, pages 172-173, March 21, 1826 [NOTE: Moses Way and Uriah Wilcox had concluded a mortgage on those pages on that day naming an enslaved man named Tom and a tract of land.] 

Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 29, 1830.
