On May 25, 1829, Thomas G. Way, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1200 to Andrew Maybank, Liberty County, “the following negroes, named Peter, Nanny, Adam, George, Agnette, Jenny & Tom.” Witnessed by Joseph M. Jones, Moses W. Way. Probated by Joseph M. Jones on January 21, 1830. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 30, 1830.
