On April 13, 1831, George W. Walthour, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $10500 to Jacob Shaffer and George W. Anderson, Savannah, Chatham County, “the following negro slaves, with the issue of the females, to wit, Jupiter, Minty, Little Jupiter, Israel, Anthony, Sary, Delia, Peggy, Sampson, Diana, Jacob, Nanny, Fisby [alt: Thisbe?], Die, Jacob, Hector, Jesse, Chloe, Jemmy, Sary, Little Chloe, Simon, July, Jenny, Jacob, Adam, Kate, Paris, Caspina, Sukey, Dick, Diana, Flora, Peter, Letty, Elsy, George, Old bald Abram, Little Kate, Sibby, Maria, Prince, Big Abram, Sandy, Daphne, Country born Abram, C. Abram (child), being forty seven in all,” plus a 3347-acre tract in Liberty County “known as the tract purchased by Doctor Tunno .” Witnessed by John S. Quarterman. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 16, 1831.
