Enslaved Persons Named: Hamlet

On April 11, 1828, Thomas Mallard, administrator of the estate of John Mallard, late of Liberty County, sold to William Q. Baker, same place, for $225 “a certain negro boy slave named Hamlet, about twelve years old.” Witnessed by Edward Quarterman. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 17, 1828.
