Enslaved Persons Named: Die

On May 1, 1827, Sheriff W. Maxwell, Liberty County, sold to Francis J. Chapman, same place, for $340 “a female slave by the name of Die [alt: Dye], levied on in due form of law, as the property of, and belonging to the Estate of John E. Fraser dec’d at the suit of Thomas Goulding.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 22, 1829.
