On March 10, 1826, John S. Quarterman, Liberty County, used as collateral on promissory notes totalling $184.61 to Uriah Wilcox, same place, “a female slave named Kate, with her future increase.” Witnessed by Savory Boles, Rodney Pease. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 10, 1826. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied as of March 2, 1840, by Oliver Stevens, administors of the estate of Uriah Wilcox. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on on March 19, 1842.
