Enslaved Persons Named: Tamar

On March 6, 1826, William Ward, Liberty County, sold to James Shannon, same place, for $300 “the following property, viz. A negro girl  named Tamar (said Tamar is about fourteen years of age, and American born).” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 13, 1826.
