Enslaved Persons Named: Bella, David, Derry

On March 28, 1826, Samuel S. Law, Liberty County, sold to James Shannon, same place, for $600 “a negro woman named Bella, and her two sons David & Derry. Said Bella is about forty one years of age, and American born; David is about thirteen, and Derry is about two years of age.” Witnessed by J.D. Hathaway, J.P. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 6, 1826.
