Enslaved Persons Named: Maria, Eliza, China, Judy, Linda

On November 24, 1824, Josiah Baisden, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $500 to Furman R. Whitwell, same county, “a negro slave named Maria, and her four children, viz. Eliza, China, Judy and Linda.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 24, 1825.
