On May 9, 1823, Joseph Bacon, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $362.40 to Uriah Wilcox “two certain male slaves named Bob, & his brother named Tom.” Witnessed by J.O. Baker, G. Butler. Probated by G. Butler on May 12, 1823. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 15, 1823.
