On February 4, 1828, Isham Peacock, Tattnall County, sold for $500 to Mathew Jones “for the heirs of  Lydia Telafarro, which is Benjamin Howard, Lydia Hyland, and Mary Hartfield” “a certain negro man named Lewis…” Witnessed by Levi Morgan, and Simon Harrington, J.P. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on December 7, 1835.
