On February 13, 1834, Alexander Stewart, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $54 to Uriah Wilcox, trader of Liberty County, ”a certain female slave named Nancy, together with her future issue…” Witnessed by George W. Dunham, J.P. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 14, 1834.
