Enslaved Persons Named: Hannah, Maria, Tyrah, Nanny, Hagar, Lily [alt: Lilly], Harriet, Sarah, Frank, Tom, Dublin, Cudjoe, Abram

On January 9, 1834, David A. Miller, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note for $2052.26 to Uriah Wilcox, trader of Liberty County, “the following negro slaves, named Hannah, Maria, Tyrah [alt: Tirah], Nanny, Hagar, Lily [alt: Lilly], Harriet, Sarah, Frank, Tom, Dublin, Cudjoe & Abram, together with the future issue & increase of the females…” He also mortgaged “all that tract or plantation of land, known as Navarre, situate in the County & State aforesaid, bounded on the north by lands of Major Wood & Major Bulloch, on the East by lands of William Jones, on the South by lands of LeConte, & on the West by lands of Smith S. Hart, containing three hundred & sixty acres, more or less.”  Witnessed by Jos. Law and A. Stewart. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 15, 1834.
