Enslaved Persons Named: Quamino, Peter, Robert, Mag

On September 1, 1833, Joseph F. McGowen, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on two promissory notes for a total of $1044.26 to F.D. Petit De Villers, factor of Savannah, Chatham County, “the following named negro slaves, to wit, Quamino, aged about thirty five years; Peter, aged about eighteen years; Robert, aged about twelve years; and Mag, aged about twenty five years; together with the future issue and increase of the sake female slave.” Witnessed by E. Baker and W.Q. Baker, J.I.C. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on September 16, 1833.
