On December 28, 1838, David Allen sold for $800 to John Dunwody, trustee for Mrs. Rosena L. Minton and children [unnamed], “a certain Negro Man Slave named William…” for the “use benefit and behoof of aforesaid Mrs. Rosena L. Minton and children forever in fee simple.” Witnessed by George W. Walthour, William J. Way, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on December 15, 1840, by E. Way, Clerk.
