On May 13, 1840 in Chatham County Robert ?Mints? used as collateral on a promissory note to Charlton and Ward for $200 “a certain negro man Slave named Isaac (or all my right, title, or interest in said Slave being one fourth) aged about thirty years. Witnessed by W.B. Bulloch, Not. Public. Recorded in Liberty County on May 14, 1840, by E. Way, Clerk.
