On March 4, 1845, Robert Quarterman, Liberty County, sold for $1600 to Saml [Samuel] M. Varnedoe, Liberty County, “five negro slaves to wit Keziah, George Phillis Tissee and Sarah.” Witnessed by W.Q. Baker, Jno. [John] B. Mallard. Probated by W.Q. Baker on July 6, 1847. Recorded on July 12, 1847, by J.S. Bradwell, Clk.
